Is there hope for humanity? by Marcelo Netto*. Event promoted by the United States Spiritist Federation. October 10, 2026. https://spiritist.us/

The world is undergoing profound transformations, and at the heart of these changes lies the human spirit. From a Spiritist perspective, each reincarnation offers a new opportunity for spiritual renewal, learning, and moral growth.

Although the challenges, conflicts, and suffering we witness today may lead us to question humanity’s future, Spiritism reminds us that the Law of Progress governs the entire universe and that human evolution unfolds through successive lifetimes.

In this talk, we will reflect on these questions through the comforting teachings of Spiritism, exploring why, despite the difficulties of our times, there is reason to believe in a brighter future for humanity.

Kardec's Advice for the Age of AI by Dan Assisi*. Event promoted by the United States Spiritist Federation. August 29th, 2026. https://spiritist.us/

The most dangerous thing about artificial intelligence isn't that it lies. It's that it sounds exactly like something worth believing. Kardec knew that feeling. He spent years receiving messages he could not verify, from a source he could not see — and he refused to accept any of them simply because they sounded true. So, he built a way to test them. Join us Saturday as we look at how Kardec tested what he received and ask what that method has to say to us now.

Lifting the Invisible Weight by Peter Roman*. Event promoted by the United States Spiritist Federation. August 1st, 2026. https://spiritist.us/

This lecture provides a framework for understanding and finding relief from unexplained anxiety by examining the spiritual influences on our minds. Vague anxiety or an "indescribable uneasiness" without a physical cause is often the result of unconscious communications from spirits surrounding us or encounters we have during sleep. The core of the talk highlights our constant mental connection with the spiritual realm, noting that spirits influence our thoughts and actions far more than we typically realize, frequently acting as unseen guides.

*Peter Roman is a Spiritist volunteer at the Peace and Knowledge Spiritist Center of Orlando, where he serves as a spiritual pass worker, coordinator of the English-language activities, and fraternal assistance volunteer. His journey with Spiritism began in Brazil when he was 18 years old at Seara Bendita, in São Paulo, an experience that introduced him to the Spiritist teachings and their practical meaning in daily life. Years later, in Orlando, he returned to this path through PKSCO, where he has been an active participant for about 20 years. With a background in communication, human development, and volunteer service, Peter seeks to help share Spiritist teachings with clarity, compassion, and spiritual responsibility.
